Overview
Templates inside an event can be toggled on or off without being deleted. This lets you hide a template from guests during an event and re-enable it later — preserving all your configuration, design, and prompt settings.
Why use this instead of deleting?
Deleting a template is permanent. If a client changes their mind at the last minute, a deleted template is gone. Toggling keeps it safe so you can flip it back on instantly.
Common scenarios:
- Client is undecided between template versions — hide the ones under review without losing them
- Seasonal or time-of-night templates — turn on a specific look at a set point during the event
- Backup templates — keep a simpler fallback ready in case a complex template causes issues
How to toggle a template
- Open your event and go to the Templates section.
- Find the template you want to hide or show.
- Use the toggle switch on the template card to turn it on or off.
Toggled-off templates are not visible to guests at the booth or in the virtual booth. They remain fully editable by the operator and can be re-enabled at any time.
Frequently asked questions
Does toggling off a template affect any event data already captured with it? No. Past captures and outputs are not affected. Toggling only controls whether the template is available for new captures going forward.
Can I toggle templates on/off during a live event? Yes. Changes take effect immediately, so you can adjust which templates are active while an event is running.
Is there a limit to how many templates I can have toggled off at once? No. You can have any number of templates toggled off simultaneously.
