Overview
Pictor uses a two-part pricing model: subscription plans that give you access to the platform and features, and tokens that cover the cost of AI processing based on GPU usage. Subscriptions and tokens are separate—you purchase them independently based on your needs.
Subscription Plans
We offer three subscription tiers available on both monthly and annual billing cycles. Each plan unlocks different features and capabilities for your photo booth experiences.
Plan | Monthly | Annual | Annual Savings |
Basic | $49/month | $490/year | $98 (17% savings) |
Pro | $99/month | $990/year | $198 (17% savings) |
Premium | $149/month | $1,490/year | $298 (17% savings) |
Annual billing provides a 17% discount compared to monthly pricing and is the most cost-effective option for committed users.
Managing Your Subscription
Renewal and Cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically on your billing date (monthly or annual)
You can cancel at any time, and your subscription will not renew on the next billing date
There are no penalties for canceling or downgrading to a lower plan
When you downgrade, you lose access to features in the higher tier after your renewal date
Multiple Licenses
You can purchase multiple licenses if you run different types of events or need to run simultaneous experiences
Each license has its own renewal date based on when you purchased it
This flexibility means you can purchase licenses as you need them, rather than forcing them all to renew on the same date
Upgrades and Plan Changes
You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time
If you upgrade mid-billing cycle, your new device license takes effect immediately, and this may alter your renewal date(s).
Plan accordingly to minimize billing complexity if managing multiple licenses
What Happens When Your Subscription Expires
If your subscription expires while an event is running:
The event will cease to work
To resume your event, purchase a new license (or renew your current one) that matches the features you're using.
Token System
Tokens cover the processing costs for AI-generated elements on your outputs. Token pricing is directly tied to actual GPU usage. You can purchase tokens in bulk, and the cost per token decreases significantly at higher quantities.
How Tokens Work
No tokens are included in your subscription. You purchase tokens separately as needed. Tokens do not expire and can accumulate over time.
Token Pricing Tiers
Token Amount | Total Price | Cost Per Token |
100 Tokens | $20.00 | $0.20 |
500 Tokens | $75.00 | $0.15 |
1,000 Tokens | $120.00 | $0.12 |
2,000 Tokens | $200.00 | $0.10 |
5,000 Tokens | $450.00 | $0.09 |
10,000 Tokens | $800.00 | $0.08 |
20,000 Tokens | $1,400.00 | $0.07 |
Bulk pricing advantage: Buying 20,000 tokens costs $0.07 per token compared to $0.20 per token for a 100-token purchase—a 65% discount. Planning ahead with bulk purchases significantly reduces your per-token cost.
Token Usage
Each element on your output consumes a specific number of tokens based on its type and complexity:
AI Outputs
AI Generated Output (still image): 1 token
AI Video Generation
Low-Resolution AI Video: 5 tokens
Medium-Resolution AI Video: 10 tokens
High-Resolution AI Video: 15 tokens
Additional Features
Text Messages: Fractional tokens (less than 1 token)
Background Removal: 1 token
Understanding Token Costs Per Output
Your templates can include multiple elements on a single output. Each element consumes its own tokens, and the costs add together.
Examples:
One output with two AI still images = 2 tokens
One output with two high-resolution AI videos = 30 tokens (15 + 15)
One output with one AI still image, one medium-res video, and one high-res video = 16 tokens (1 + 10 + 15)
Viewing Your Template's Token Cost
When you set up your photo booth experience and select your templates in the flow stage, the token cost per session is displayed next to each template name. This shows you exactly what each output will cost before you run your event.
Estimating Event Costs
To estimate your token usage for an event:
Identify your templates and their token costs (visible in the flow stage)
Estimate session volume: Most events average 30–55 sessions per hour
Calculate total sessions: A 3-hour event typically won't exceed 180 sessions (it's difficult to do more than one session per minute)
Multiply: Session count × token cost per template = approximate token usage
Example: A 3-hour event using a template that costs 1 tokens per session with an estimated 100 sessions would use approximately 100 tokens.
Running Out of Tokens
If you exhaust your tokens during an event, you can immediately purchase more tokens from your billing page. New tokens become available instantly, though you may need to refresh or restart your experience to resume generating outputs.
Pro tip: Plan your token purchases before your event to avoid interruptions. Topping up during an active event requires leaving the photo booth to access the web app.
Choosing Plans and Tokens
Your subscription plan determines which features and capabilities you can use. Tokens cover the processing cost of using those features.
Example workflow:
You subscribe to a plan to access Pictor's photo booth platform and features
You set up templates with AI elements (still images, videos, etc.)
During your event, each session consumes tokens based on the elements in your template
If you exceed your token budget, you purchase more tokens as needed
Both subscriptions and tokens are managed from your billing page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do tokens expire?
No, tokens do not expire. They roll over indefinitely, giving you flexibility in when you use them.
What if I want to use different license types for different events?
You can! Many photo booth operators use a Basic license for simple events and a Premium license for complex, feature-rich experiences. Each license has its own renewal date, so you can purchase them as needed.
Can I get a refund if an event used more tokens than expected?
No, there are no refunds on token usage. Review your template token costs in advance and estimate your event volume before your experience goes live.
How do I purchase or renew licenses and tokens?
Visit your billing page to manage all subscriptions and token purchases.
What happens if my subscription expires during an event?
Basic and Pro plans will show watermarks on outputs. Premium events will cease to work. Purchase a new or renewed license to resume.
Can I align my subscription renewal dates if I have multiple licenses?
Not directly, but you don't need to. Having staggered renewal dates lets you purchase licenses as you need them rather than forcing them all to sync to one date. You can manage each license independently on your billing page.
