Pictor Billing & Licensing

A quick overview of how billing, licenses, and tokens work in Pictor.

Pictor separates access from usage.

  • Licenses let you start Events

  • Tokens control how much content is generated (photos, AI, video)

You need both to run real Events. For detailed pricing, token costs per output, and event budgeting guidance, see Licenses and Tokens.

Subscriptions & Licenses

Subscriptions can be Monthly or Annual and include one license tier: Basic, Pro, or Premium.

Higher tiers are backward compatible:

  • Pro runs Basic Events

  • Premium runs Basic and Pro Events

Please note that upgrading does not affect events that are live.

Event Feature Tagging

Each Event is automatically tagged based on the highest-level feature it uses:

  • Events using only Basic features → Basic Event

  • Events using Pro features → Pro Event

  • Events using Premium features → Premium Event

The tag clearly indicates which license tier is required to start the Event.

Notes Before You Buy

When you create a Pictor account, you can see all related features and create events freely. You can also test events using Test Mode — but you can't start live events without a license.

Billing Rules

Monthly licenses

  • Share one billing date

  • Added mid-cycle → pro-rated

Annual licenses

  • Renew independently unless bought together

Volume Discounts

Discounts apply automatically based on active licenses:

  • 5–9 licenses → 10% off

  • 10+ licenses → 15% off

Licenses don't need to be purchased at the same time — the system counts all currently active licenses and applies the discount automatically once a threshold is reached.

Coupon Codes

Promotional coupon codes can be applied at the time of purchase for either a percentage-based or fixed-amount discount.

  • Discounts are reflected immediately in the pricing summary

  • Coupons do not change your license tier or available features

  • Coupon discounts may be combined with volume discounts, depending on the promotion

Cancellations

Canceled licenses stay active until the next billing date, then expire. Events are never cut off mid-cycle.

Tokens

When you register a new account, you receive 25 free tokens as a one-time welcome bonus — these are not replenished. Tokens can be topped up at any time and are separate from your license.

Most standard outputs don't use tokens — token usage applies to AI-generated content and a small number of additional features, where different processing levels are available. Each level uses a different AI engine, which affects both the quality of the result and the compute cost.

AI Images

Choose a processing level when generating AI images:

  • Low — 1 token

  • High — 2 tokens

AI Video

Choose a processing level when generating AI video:

  • Low — 5 tokens

  • Medium — 10 tokens

  • High — 15 tokens

💡 Tip: Lower processing levels sometimes produce better results depending on your creative goal. We always recommend trying the more economical option first before moving up.

Additional Features

  • Premium Background Removal — 1 token

  • Virtual Booth — 1 token per session after the first 500 sessions. Sessions that include at least one AI output are not charged an additional Virtual Booth token.
