The **Paywall** stage asks guests to pay before they continue. Payment goes to your own Stripe account.

### **Before you start**

Connect **Stripe Connect** under **Integrations**. Use the same email address as your Pictor account.

### **Add the stage**

1. Open your event and click the **Flow** tab.

2. Click **+** and choose **Paywall**.

3. Place it where you want guests to pay — at the start of the flow to charge before capture, or later

to charge before they receive their photo.

### **Write what guests see**

| **Field**       | **What it is**                    |

| **Title**       | The heading on the payment screen |
| **Subtitle**    | A line under it                   |
| **Description** | What they are paying for          |

**Tip -** Say what they get, not just what it costs. "Your photo, printed and emailed — $10" performs better than "Payment required".

### **Set the price**

**Note - Title**, **Amount** and **Currency** must all be filled in before the stage will save.

**Important -** Only US dollars and euros are available. If you need another currency, contact us before planning a paid event.

### **Button labels**

The stage has three label fields — **Tap to Pay button label**, **Pay with QR button label** and **Skip for now label**.

**Important -** These labels are **not used by the web booth**. A guest on the web sees **Amount Due**, **How would you like to pay?** and a single **Open checkout** button. Set the labels if you are running on the iPad booth; do not rely on them on the web.

### **What guests actually see on the web**

1. The amount due, and **Open checkout**.

2. Stripe checkout opens in a **new tab**.

3. The booth waits and shows the status — **Pending payment**, then **Paid** or **Failed**.

4. On success: *"Payment successful — you can close this tab and return to the booth."*

5. On failure: **Try to pay again**, or **Reset flow** to start over.

**Important -** Guests pay in a separate tab. At a booth, tell them to come back to the booth screen after paying — the stage is waiting for them.

### **Fees**

Pictor takes a percentage of each payment and the rest goes to your Stripe account:

| Premium       | 5%               | 95%             |

### **Before the event**

Run a **Simulation test** and take a real payment with your own card — a small amount you can refund. Check it lands in Stripe. Payment problems on the night cost you the whole event's revenue.
