Type in a Pictor template comes from Google Fonts, from fonts already used elsewhere in the template, or from a font file you upload yourself. This is where you choose between them.

### **What fonts can I use?**

Two sources:

* **Google Fonts** — the full library, searchable from inside the editor.

* **Your own fonts** — uploaded to your **Asset Library** and picked from there.

### **Choosing a font**

1. Open your template in the template editor.

2. Select a text element.

3. Open **Font Settings**.

Use **Search fonts** to find anything else in the Google Fonts library by name.

**TipIn This Template** is the fastest way to keep a design consistent. Pick from there rather than searching again and accidentally choosing a near-match.

### **Using your own font**

Your font has to be in your **Asset Library** before you can use it.

1. Go to the **Asset Library** and upload your font file.

2. Open your template and select a text element.

3. Open **Font Settings** and click **Add custom font**.

4. Pick your font from the library.

5. Click **Use**.

**Note -** Use a **WOFF2**, **WOFF**, **TTF** or **OTF** file. These load reliably in the browser and on the booth.

**Important -** If a font file will not load, your text quietly falls back to a default font rather than showing an error. If your text looks wrong, that is why — check the font file first.

**Tip -** Always run a **Simulation test** after adding a custom font and look at a real output. A font that renders on your computer is not guaranteed to render on the booth.

### **Licensing your font**

Make sure you have the right to use the font commercially. Pictor does not check this for you, and a font licensed for personal use only should not go on client work.
