## 

An **AI Effect** transforms your guest's photo — a beautified version, a retro treatment, black and white. You choose the look when you build the template, and every guest gets it automatically.

**Important**An event using an AI Effect needs a **Premium** licence. You can build the template on any plan, but the booth will not start without one.

### **Before you start**

* You need enough **Tokens**. Each capture that goes through an AI Effect spends them.

* Check your balance under **Billing**.

### **Add an AI Effect to a template**

1. Go to **Events** and open your event.

2. Click the **Flow** tab and open the **Choose Experience** stage.

3. Click **Add template**.

4. Pick a size, then add a **Capture**.

5. Select the capture, open its **Settings**, then **Effect**.

6. Choose **AI Effect**.

7. Pick the looks you want. You can select more than one.

8. Name the template and click **Save Changes**.

9. Save the event as well.

**Important -** The capture must be a still **Image**. AI effects cannot be applied to a GIF or Video capture.

**Important -** Do not use the **Effects** tool in the left rail — that sets which filters *guests* can apply to their own photo, and selecting it clears your element selection.

**Note**The looks here come from prompts **tagged as effects**, so your list may differ from someone else's.

**Important -** A prompt you write yourself will not necessarily appear in this picker — there is no control in the Prompt Builder for tagging a prompt as an effect. If you need a custom look, use **AI Filter** instead, or contact us.

**Important -** Only one AI effect — **AI Filter**, **AI Video** or **AI Effect** — is allowed per element.

**Tip -** If Premium is the problem, **AI Filter** does a similar job on a **Basic** licence. It is the same feature Simple Mode calls **AI Image**. You cannot combine AI Effect and AI Video on the same capture.

**Tip -** An AI Effect gives every guest the same treatment, which keeps a set of photos looking consistent.

**Note - AI Filter** works differently: one prompt produces up to **four** output variations, and a template is capped at four AI Filter captures. It is not a menu of unrelated looks for guests to browse.

### **Test it before the event**

1. Open the **Launchpad**.

2. Click **Simulation test** and take a photo.

3. Wait a few seconds for processing.

4. Check the result under **Sessions** or the **Internal Gallery**.

**Tip -** Always look at a real generated output rather than the canvas preview. AI results vary with the photo, and this is where you find out whether the look suits your lighting.
