Pictor now supports DSLR and mirrorless cameras for capturing professional-quality photos at your events. This guide walks you through connecting your DSLR, adjusting settings, and troubleshooting common issues.
1. Why Use a DSLR with Pictor?
Image Quality: Take advantage of larger sensors and better lenses.
Low-Light Performance: Cleaner, sharper images in dimly lit spaces.
Creative Control: Customize aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.
2. Setting Up Your DSLR
Step 1: Connect the Camera
Power on your DSLR.
Connect it to your Pictor device with a USB cable.
Ensure the camera is in Photo/Still mode, not Video mode.
Step 2: Select the Camera in Pictor
Open Pictor Settings.
Under Camera Source, select your connected DSLR and toggle the switch on.
A live preview from your camera will appear inside Pictor.
Step 3: Adjust Camera Settings
Set manual exposure for consistent results.
Enable continuous autofocus if guests are moving.
Use an AC adapter or dummy battery to avoid power loss during long events.
Step 4: Select Your Template
Select your template at the top of the page and ensure that the capture source is DSLR.
