Pictor now supports DSLR and mirrorless cameras for capturing professional-quality photos at your events. This guide walks you through connecting your DSLR, adjusting settings, and troubleshooting common issues.

1. Why Use a DSLR with Pictor?

  • Image Quality: Take advantage of larger sensors and better lenses.

  • Low-Light Performance: Cleaner, sharper images in dimly lit spaces.

  • Creative Control: Customize aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.

2. Setting Up Your DSLR

Step 1: Connect the Camera

  1. Power on your DSLR.

  2. Connect it to your Pictor device with a USB cable.

Step 2: Select the Camera in Pictor

  1. Open Pictor Settings.

  2. Under Camera Source, select your connected DSLR and toggle the switch on.

  3. A live preview from your camera will appear inside Pictor.

Step 3: Adjust Camera Settings

  • Set manual exposure for consistent results.

  • Enable continuous autofocus if guests are moving.

  • Use an AC adapter or dummy battery to avoid power loss during long events.
